Ok,here's whats up ? I'm going to travel the country at some point down the road(bucket list)but not anytime soon.What i want to know is,is it safe to go to a baseball game, which is my quest to see every MLB Stadiums.I as much as anybody else here know how bad CHICAGO is with crime,manly shootings,so question is,will it be ok to hit both teams without having a problem there.I won't be in any cities more than a day,day and a half so this is not going to be any difference.


I know there's a few people from Chicago on here,so i should get some good info

Cubs games are fine, not so sure about ChiSox (go to a day game, not night)

White Sox are fine, area is gentrified, public transportation after the game is a bitch though so yeah go to a day game.

Wrigley is obviously safe. Watch out for the liberals in Boystown though.

Hahaha, there are parts that are absolutely as dangerous as the conservative media would have you believe. The numbers don't lie.
On the plus side those areas are easy to avoid, because they are in very isolated pockets. Ya know, where all the systemically oppressed people are forced by Donald Trump mandate to live, and their violence is excusable cause it's just an expression of their oppression.

Very true. I was born here, then moved away. Have lived here since 2011 and I've only been to the bad part of town twice. Once, GPS took me there on the way to Horseshoe in Indiana around 1 AM. Guess it wanted to avoid tolls? No idea what it was thinking. Driving on one of those streets next to the interstate, saw 2 guys approaching walking towards my car. One was on each side of the street. Stop sign was approaching, but I gunned it from 30 to 40 and sped past them. No way was I stopping at that stop sign.

If you get a hotel in the streeterville/river north area, that area is a bit less safe at night than it used to be. Some homeless dude half chased my girlfriend a few weeks back saying he was going to rape her around midnight. Then some meth head asked another one of my friend's in broad daylight if he could shove a knife up her pussy for $20. Then walked off.

One good thing about Lakeview/Wrigley area is that the homeless are encouraged to go elsewhere.

there used to be a place called cabrini green. the cops would't even go in there. some exits off 94 you don't want to even think of taking to get gas or anything.

The Wrigley area is definitely protected, cops everywhere on game days & nights for many hours before and after, and the rest of the time it is well covered.
See the homicide map, there are very few within a few miles of Wrigley.
It cannot be a factor, there cannot be murders in Wrigleyville.
Having said that, it is more than possible that the thugs will decide to go to that area to terrorize... hopefully, not.
